We believe safety is one of the most important pieces whether you are a family searching for a quality caregiver for your children or if you are a sitter or nanny looking for a family.

Learn more about the steps we take to promote a safe experience when considering being part of the Sitter Connect community as a family or sitter/nanny.

• All sitters and nanny candidates are formally interviewed on a virtual video call and vetted by Sitter Connect Owners
• We require 2-3 stellar references for each sitter or nanny that we speak with directly. Each candidate must be clear on the Connecticut criminal convictions and pending convictions, as well as the National Sex Offender Registry
• Families are vetted by Sitter Connect Owners on an initial phone call, and verify that each adult in the home is clear on the Connecticut criminal convictions and pending convictions, as well as the National Sex Offender Registry
• We learn the needs and qualifications of each family to ensure each is met before matching them with our sitters and nanny candidates (i.e. experience level, CPR certification, age experience, etc.)
• We help each family schedule a meet and greet to get to know the sitter/nanny and to confirm that the match is great for both the family and the candidate
• We encourage every caregiver and family to take their own safety measures. We want families to ensure they are comfortable with the sitter or nanny choice for their family, as well as our caregivers with our families. This can include additional steps by the family, such as a sitter background check through a service of of your own choice or performing your own research on any candidate or family.
